Dream On

I woke up next to the fire
Late in the day but I’m so tired
To be all alone is my desire
When I walk the streets just getting higher
Please be aware before you call me
I got no time to hear your stories
It would be great if you could hurry
So don’t make it long don’t make it boring
Now my heart’s made out of stone
My gentle smile’s for ever gone
My shaking body’s growing old
My death is close I have been told,
So I ‘ll just Dream on, Dream on, Dream
Now the bottle has been drank
And I see clearly in the dark
The table’s set and it’s my turn
To mend the bridges I once burned
Packed my suitcase and I moved
To this land where I can do
All those things I wanted to
Like stare right at the morning dew
And I ‘ll just Dream on, Dream on, Dream

Spaceships

Spaceships
Lonely Lady on the strangest star
Whisper all your words and
All the things you wish were never told
Instant pictures of the coldest land
Feel the moaning wind,
As she sings these songs about her past
My spaceship's far away
Let me stay stay with you for just a day
I know I’ll find the road to get myself back home
Friendships broken for fear of letting go
You may hate me love me but
Please don't shoot me right between the eyes
My spaceship's far away
Let me stay stay with you for just a day
I know I’ll find the road to get myself back home

Bottle of Wine

Bottle of Wine
Here on my spaceship I’ll land in the moon
You may come along if you quit all that gloom
Just let me warn you I’ve never been there
I don’t even know if there is a chair
For us to sit an enjoy this bottle of wine
Been wearing these boots from the sea to the dunes
My feet are so tired and I don’t have a clue
If I’ll ever make it to earth back in time
The days in the moon are engraved in my mind
When we both got to sit and enjoy this bottle of wine
I see tonight there’s a hole in the sky
There is no reason for us to deny that
sometimes we are low and sometimes we are high
It’s just a way to get through his life day by day
Give me a break I’ve been here for a day
I’m loaded with thoughts and pounds that I’ve gained
My spaceship won’t start I’m in need of a car
With these broken feet I’ won’t make it to mars
So stay with me and enjoy this bottle of wine
Give me a while as I fix my mistakes
A man must admit when it’s time for a change
Deep in my soul there’s no more room for hate
It’s just a way to get through his life day by day
